It was September. I was a science teacher turned health inspector, skeptic to the core. When one day while I was walking my dog, it hit me over the head. A thought so bizarre and specific and so unlike anything I had ever thought before... "If the Universe is a simulation, then there would need to be a random number generator. If that was the stars, astrology would be true." I was immediately obsessed. I got online and started where we all start with astrology... I pulled my chart. And within minutes my hypothesis was shot through. This was not true at all. It said I was a Capricorn. Good with money, responsible, goal oriented. That was not me at all. If astrology didn't even get me right, it definitely wasn't pulling out the defining structure for the rest of creation. So I started reading about why astrology is wrong. And that's when I found out that Tropical astrology does not use the current sky, but the sky from when the system was designed 2000 years ago. So the entire data set is unusable. You can't find connections with a system that doesn't use the current random number generator. And so I googled some more and discovered there is an entire other zodiac that uses the true sky. It is the basis of Vedic astrology, the Sidereal zodiac. And so I went to a Vedic chart creator and learned about my chart. Libra rising-- relationship focused, ruler of music, focused on balance and harmony often to the point of abandoning one's self. That is who I was. Scorpio moon, an internal world built on pressure and emotional depth. I looked at my children's charts and my parents charts and by this time I was sold. Days later I would meet Romanesco, the man who would teach me not only astrology, but how to serve others ethically and empathically. And now I am here. Ready to share with you what I know. That for some unknown reason, astrology works. It tells us who we are in relation to the natural world. It tells us the current and upcoming energetic weather. It tells us how to prepare for the future and how to work with nature to get through it.
My astrology is nature-based. I don’t care that Virgo has a color-coded binder.
Virgo is the spirit of the forest. The forest is full of solutions—it holds food and medicine.
